Nisqually Chapter
Back Country Horsemen

About Us

Formed as a chapter in March 1991 with fewer than a dozen dedicated folks; this chapter has grown to more than 100 active members.

We are a chapter of the Back Country Horsemen of Washington and affiliated with the Back Country Horsemen of America.  We are a non-profit 501 (c)(3).

We have chapter day rides, overnight camping rides, clinics, potlucks, and informational meetings.

Come join us for good friendship, riding information, volunteer opportunities, and the chance to make a difference!

Our Purpose

We fully support Back Country Horsemen of Washington's dedication towards keeping trails open for all users; educating horse users in Leave-no-Trace minimum impact practices; and, providing volunteer service to public agencies.

4.  To educate, encourage, and solicit active participation in the wise use of the back country resources by horsemen, and the general public, commensurate with our heritage
5.  To foster and encourage the formation of new state chapters in the state organization
